Nilita - assuming a personality now

Nikita is now assuming a personality of her own. Just 4 months and a week old. She has started turning sides and crawiling in her own way. Since she is mostly around us, when not asleep, we are able to observe her consitently. Announcing her developments is big joy for her Grandma. She calls Kavita and tells her about it all.
Today evening we took her out on Hotel garden for a walk. As soon we were in open she started turning her head nearly 220-240 degress to see things around and she was able to follow all the cars moving in the campus and nearby road. She was so alert not to loose even a sinlge call. She also stared at the tree tops and when I took her on my lap she immediately started complaining her own way.
Me and Aarti get lost even in thought of getting away from her in couple of weeks. Aarti has never lived so much close to Salil, kavita and now Nikita; I know she feels so lonely even with the thought. We accepted the distance earlier for Salil to make his own life and now two more lives need a greater exposure of the large and fast developing world. We have already accepted the change now there some more emotional weight to it. Yes, its the life.

Understanding Myself all over again

Look at the question mark on her face on 4th of May afternoon. Looking at her the jetlag was nowhere to be seen around. It was pleasure like finding myself in a new form -with lots of future happiness for all of us. may be whatever I could not give other this girl will give to others and also make me do the same thing in my these years.

The First Encounter

We came to USA on 4th may '08. On Dallas Internations Airport we had our first encounter in person. But It was Salil's home in Manassas the first encounter took place. Kavita' daddy had told me on phone she just looks like me ( which always happens with new born kids) ; but when I saw her in person I remembered my own childhood phots and realized that. This was another relation with my grand daughter. I just imagine what my mother back in Kolhapur would think looking at Nikita's pictures. The nostalgia made me think differently - our childhood was largely different than that of my paresnts, my children had bit more better but it was not something galmorous. But now I felt that Nikita like her elder conzin Tanishka should get all that we sometime desired but could not command for whatsoever reason.

This started a new life with new desires for Nikita - she is luck that she has host of people loving her and can always under their wings.
